Sebastian Komor (ICON OF COIL/ZOMBIE GIRL) Produces New AYRIA Album!

As taken from Side-Line.com:

Sebastian Komor, known from his work in Icon Of Coil, Zombie Girl and Moonitor, has started production on the new Ayria album together with frontwoman Jennifer Parkin (Ayria, Epsilon Minus). Parkin explains: "Seb recently joined Alfa Matrix with Zombie Girl and now also resides in Canada. It seemed a logical collaboration. For Ayria's 3rd release, we were thinking of ways to evolve the project and step up the sound so bringing Seb on board seemed like a great way to add spice to Ayria's sound. I'll still be writing the songs and music but Seb will bring his studio expertise to the enrich the Ayria sound. We've discussed what we both expect and I think the result of my vocal and songwriting with his skills and production creativity will yield a very exciting new sound!!" The yet untitled album is expected to be released in 2007 while an EP should see the light of day somewhat sooner. Her second self penned album Flicker which hit the shop shelves late 2005 turned out to be a major hit resulting in numerous dates in North and South America keeping her busy for quite some time. Jennifer: "To me, Ayria has been building up constantly over time since I began this project. I've built a solid fanbase in North America and it seems to keep growning which is truely exciting. Since my sound is very diverse, constantly evolving, and not tied to any specific trend, I think Ayria is able to gain a wider audience. I have fans that like industrial, electro, pop, dance, rock that can all appreciate parts of the Ayria sound. Once we played an all ages show and 2 girls came up to me to tell me they were huge fans and they were actually also kind of dressed like me and that was overwhelming and totally flattering at the same time. I guess that hit me as an indication that Ayria had made it's mark somehow and people were hearing and enjoying the music which is definitely the most important thing to me."

CMJ Review: MESSER FUR FRAU MULLER

Taken from CMJ.com:

messer fur frau muller - triangle, dot & devilMESSER FUR FRAU MULLER
Triangle, Dot And Devil
Aero!CCCP

Truly one of the delightfully weirdest releases of '06, Triangle, Dot & Devil aspires for abstractness and accessibility with little explanation, rhyme or reason. And it works. Most of this Russian outfit's instrumental tracks can be traced to everything from swing and old-timey jazz to video games and gothic cathedrals. In the most condensed terms, most of Messer's slightly overlong but almost always engaging efforts sound like an electro DJ slapping on a zoot suit, inhaling laughing gas and entering a sexed-up haunted house at a carnival serving acid-laced punch. You're best off just letting it stream uninterrupted as you do double takes during the more mindboggling moments ("Karate Feeling"), but if you must choose a song for your next slammin' party mix, check out the comehither coos and lo-fi Daft Punk glitches of "Euro-Friendship" or the kids-show-oncrack quality of "Intime Service Cosmique." -- Kenny Herzog

NEIKKA RPM prepare for October release of newest CD!

As taken from Side-Line.com:

After her bashing debut album Gemini Prophecies (2004) pushed forward by the instant clubhit "Here’s Your Revolution" the New York based act Neikka RPM now returns with a second album, Rise Of The 13th Serpent. And it seems that her debut material impressed more than one artist as Dominique once again gathered several succesful male vocalists around her such as Claus Kruse (Plastic Noise Experience), J3 ( à;GRUMH...), Len Lemeire (Implant), Claus Larsen (Leaether Strip), DJ Rexx Arkana (Bruderschaft / FGFC820) and the acclaimed Japanese cyberpunk author Kenji Siratori. Musically the band has developped the industrial n' beats sound from the debut into a heavy wave of dancefloor beats and intelligent textures that almost sounds like Recoil (project ex-Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder) but on heavier beats. The album will also be released as a limited 2CD edition version. The full tracklist + audiopreviews are available at www.alfa-matrix.com.

Soundclips:
Sacrifice (Sever the Delusion) - feat. Claus Larsen of Leaether Strip
Shackles of Steel (Rust through Me) - feat. J3 of à;GRUMH… & Aiboforcen

AEROCCCP and MILK & SUGAR

messer fur frau muller - triangle, dot & devilAeroCCCP Recordings - AeroCCCP Recordings began when Maxim Nazarov realized that it was his destiny to promote his most favorite Russian band, Messer fur Frau Muller, here in the U.S. The first release from AeroCCCP is Messer fur Frau Muller’s Triangle, Dot & Devil. Formed in St. Petersburg, Russia, Messer fur Frau Muller (translated as Knife for Mrs. Muller in German) creates a sound that is self-described as “post easy-listening.” The band draws on samples from 50’s and 60’s-era pop-culture and builds on it with bass, guitars, synths and additional programming to create an incredibly unusual and compelling sound. Messer fur Frau Muller’s Oleg Gitarkin is already known in the U.S. through his solo project Messer Chups, whose Crazy Price album was released last year on Mike Patton's label, Ipecac.

CATZILLA FILM+MUSIC and SPACE FACTORY

Coming this autumn, KGD Media will be releasing new projects from these fine labels:

Catzilla Film+Music - Techno legends Recyver Dogs will be releasing their own special DVD with both live and mixing board audio of unreleased tracks filmed at the revered Tresor Berlin.

Space Factory - In 2003, David Carretta and Gigi Succes launched their own record label Space Factory Disques. Three years were spent cutting vinyl some of the most vivid chapters of modern electronic music, a field David Carretta knows quite well since he has performed ten years of good and faithful service on International Deejay's Gigolo, the label that introduced him to the public. Space Factory Disques is a visionary label which cultivates urgency and furthermore, is incredibly dancefloor-oriented!
